Steampunk Gears Shadow Box Frame

Steampunk Gears Shadow Box Frame

Hope you like our NEW 3D Steampunk Shadow Box.  Easily Decorated with one of my Favourite Techniques...... so easy..... so Fab!!

Before assembling I decorated the sides inside and out using 2 of our Sassy Stencils and firm Texture Paste.  Sassy Stencil-47 Metal Effects & Sassy Stencil-48 Dots.  Ensure any texture paste that is on the lugs that goes into the frame Front and Back is removed so the lugs will fit into the holes.  Once Dry assemble the Frame Sides, Back & Front.  Then Decorate the whole Frame with Black Acrylic Paint using a sponge Dabber. Using a Dabber produces a lovely mottled effect to the Paint. I Sponged all the Additional Gears etc before attaching to the Front as I find this easier.

After adding a second coat of Black Acrylic and allowing to dry I added Viva Decor Gold Paste.  Rub on gently with Finger.  I used "Browngold" on the Frame Front, Sides & Back, "Silver" on the Large Gears and on Frame Gears, "Copper" on the Bracket Pieces & "Graphite on the "Washers".  The Frame comes with "Nuts" to add on the front, but I omitted these and used Heads cut off Large Copper Coloured Split Pins instead.  I coloured all the additional pieces individually before attaching to the Frame.

The Stunning Picture I have used within this Frame was with Permission granted by the Bride and Groom, huge thanks to Kate & Jacob for allowing me to do so. They are Fellow Artisans who Live & Work in Los Angeles CA USA. Kate "Miss Tak" is a Comic Illustrator & Concept Artist and Jacob Sparks a Designer & Artist. I used details & themes from the wedding to add personal touches to this Frame which perfectly Frames their Steampunk Fairy Themed Wedding.

On the Little Bottles I added Tags. The Tall Bottle has a Tag to represent the venue for the Wedding at the Rancho Dos Pueblos in California & the two Small Bottles feature Cocktails that where served at the wedding based on family Pets, two dogs by the name of Abby & Mortecai.  I Love all the special little touches that they have included for their Wedding including Fantastic Paintings by Jacob of the Dogs in Steampunk Gear, WOW.
